THIS is why FluidPrompter was created... When I started my YouTube channel, I found lots of issues with the current teleprompter apps on the market.
FluidPrompter started as a passion project for me, and now it's available to everyone!
When I started my YouTube channel I found myself doing a lot of retakes particularly for the intro/hook where I wanted my wording to be precise. Lots of takes means LOTS of editing time. I knew there had to be a better way.
If you reduce the number of takes for a given video, you keep your talent happier, your shoot shorter and save a ton of time and money when you get to the video editing.
I tried a few popular teleprompter apps, and they were “ok”. But there were still lots of little things that frustrated me.
- Many other prompter apps only offered one fixed scrolling speed – so you’d either be chasing the text on screen or waiting for more text to appear – resulting in unnatural appearance and expression on camera.
- Many had completely isolated edit screens vs prompting screens. If you wanted to make a quick small edit during a practice run, it was quite jarring to “exit prompting”, find the text you want to edit in your script, and then “start prompting” again.
- Many other prompter apps only worked on one brand of device. If you wanted to write your script on a windows laptop and then prompt on an iPad you were out of luck.
So I set out to write the perfect prompter app for YouTubers and presenters that would speed up the workflow from start to finish.
- FluidPrompter has a continuously variable scrolling speed while you prompt. You are free to speed up and slow down throughout the script as required. Analog foot pedal support is an absolute game changer for people filming themselves (if you are both controlling the prompter and appearing on camera).
- FluidPrompter quickly changes from prompting mode to edit mode and back without changing font-size or position within the script. This makes quick script edits during a shoot a breeze.
- FluidPrompter is browser based and works on nearly any device, including: Windows Computers, Apple computers (Macs), iPads and Android Tablets.
